I took a new job this past summer and it has occupied all of my time, so new work has been lagging. Somehow I managed to pull off a small piece as a gift to a friend and colleague. “savage” is a return to dipped sculpture, but this time with a 3D printed base. Lots to play with there. It’s installed right outside our offices next to an older piece of mine, “For the Souls of the Submariners”, a graphite on paper drawing made in honor of the navy crew of who died when the Russian submarine Kursk sank in 2000.
